Financial assistance under the Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana scheme

The scheme provides Rs:- 50000 financial assistance per hectare for 3 years for cluster building, capacity building, incentives for other activities, value addition, and marketing. Salient Features of Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana statistics

The cluster chosen for organic farming should be in the range of 20 hectares or 50 acres and as contiguous as possible.
The total financial assistance available for a 20-hectare or 50-acre cluster will be subject to a maximum of Rs 10 lakh.
At least 65% of the total number of farmers in a cluster will be allocated to the small and marginal categories.
Under this scheme, at least 30% of the budget allocation is required to be earmarked for women beneficiaries/farmers.

Implementation of Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana

National Level Implementation – Pradhan Mantri Krishi Vikas Yojana will be implemented through the Organic Farming Cell of Integrated Nutrient Management. Apart from this, the guidelines of this scheme will be prepared by the Joint Director of the National Advisory Committee. The implementation of the scheme at the national level will also be done through the Department of Agriculture, Cooperative and Farmer Welfare.
State-Level Implementation – The implementation of this scheme at the state level will be done by the State Agriculture and Cooperation Department. The scheme will be implemented by the department with the participation of the registered Zonal Councils.
District-Level Implementation – The district-level implementation of this scheme will be done through the Regional Council. A district may also have one or more Regional Councils registered under the Societies Act, the Public Trust Act, the Co-operative Act, or the Companies Act.

Annual Action Plan under the scheme

PGS certification and quality control is a 3-year program under Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana. For which the Regional Council will have to submit its action plan.
This action plan will be submitted to the State Department of Agriculture.
Financial assistance will be provided to the states after the approval of the action plan.
After receiving the financial assistance, financial assistance will be provided to the local groups and farmers in the regional council.
The Annual Action Plan will be submitted by the Regional Council in March.
The approval of the action plan will be given by the central government by May and financial assistance will be provided to the regional council in mid-May.
